Coaching

What's right for me?
Choosing between coaching and counselling depends on your goals and needs. Here’s a brief overview to help you decide which service may be right for you:
Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping you set and achieve attainable goals. Together, we’ll track your progress, address obstacles, and use proven coaching tools to overcome challenges and shift your mindset.
Active and Solution-Focused: Coaching is action-oriented. All of the work is driven by the goals you set and moved towards what you want to achieve.
Self-Directed: You set the pace, review your progress, and ultimately define your success, with my support to keep you motivated, challenged, and on track.
Forward-Thinking: The focus is on what you want to accomplish and how you want to get yourself there.
While, through our work, I may offer strategies or suggestions, the results are entirely dependent on your effort and dedication.
Coaching is ideal for those who are ready to take charge of their progress and work toward a specific vision. My coaching work is based on the Rapid Transformational Coaching model which draws on elements of NLP and cognitive approaches.
Counselling, or therapy, is an exploration of your past and perceptions to foster self-awareness and healing. It’s a space to process emotions, uncover patterns, and gain insights into how past experiences may influence your present life.
Healing and Insight-Oriented: Therapy isn’t about finding quick solutions or receiving advice; it’s about deep personal exploration.
Safe Space: You are the expert on your life and to be able to explore yourself you must feel safe to do so. Counselling provides a judgement-free, collaborative, supportive, and empathetic environment in which you can be free to explore and speak to issues often we feel we cannot elsewhere or with others.
Relational Focus: As an integrative and relational counsellor, I prioritize building a genuine connection, which I believe is key to the healing process. Like all relationships, ours will evolve, change, and be challenged so we will continually check in on our therapeutic relationship.
I work within the ethical guidelines of the BACP and my integrative approach draws on various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, existential, and cognitive approaches, tailoring the process to your needs.
